DEFINITIONS

1. The “COMPANY” refers to Unique Finds who’s trading address is: Lower Knowle Hill Farm, Knowle Hill, Ulcombe, Maidstone, Kent, ME17 1ES.

2. The “BUYER” refers to the purchaser of products/goods and services.

SUMMARY

All orders accepted by the COMPANY are subject to the following Terms & Conditions of sale and will not be effected by those of the BUYER or associated third parties.

PAYMENT TERMS

Not withstanding delivery the BUYER accepts full responsibility of risk of any goods purchased from the COMPANY once full payment is received by the COMPANY.

FITNESS FOR PURPOSE

The COMPANY is in no way liable for the purpose and fitment of any goods or services purchased by the BUYER. The COMPANY has no control over the suitability or fitment of goods purchased and of the application or use.

PRICES

The prices of goods and services supplied as of this date are correct, but are subject to market fluctuations and revision. Any overseas orders shall be charged to the BUYER at current exchange rates. The Company has no control or liability for these changes.

VAT

The COMPANY’s price list includes UK taxes (VAT) at current rates of 15%. Overseas customers who reside outside of the European Community (EC) Countries will not be subject to payments to the COMPANY of UK taxes (VAT). EC registered businesses who are registered for VAT are exempt from paying VAT providing they can produce to the COMPANY their VAT registered number including the country code and proof of identity.

CURRENCY

The COMPANY only accepts payment in British Pounds Sterling (£ Pounds).

LIABILITIES

The COMPANY accepts no other liability to the BUYER other than for the moneys paid by the BUYER to the COMPANY for goods or services purchased. The COMPANY shall afford no liability for any direct loss or expense or any indirect losses or expenses suffered by the BUYER or any third party. The COMPANY shall be under no liability whatsoever for loss or damage whether directly or indirectly resulting from the supply of goods or services to the BUYER or third parties. The COMPANY shall be under no liability whatsoever for the quality or purpose of goods supplied to the BUYER or third parties.

REFUNDS & RETURNS

The BUYER must alert the COMPANY within 7 days of receipt of any purchased goods which they wish to return and receive a refund. Such notification must be made in writing and sent by post or by email. The BUYER will then be liable for returning goods to the Company at their own cost even if organised by the COMPANY. Once returned goods have been received by the COMPANY, they will be subject to full inspection of condition. If the returned goods are in an acceptable condition full refund payment will be made to the BUYER by the COMPANY within 28 days. Goods must be unmarked and free from blemishes of any kind, and the BUYER must return them in a saleable condition.

We strive to supply goods in excellent condition. Some goods are both heavy and fragile, and need careful handling until installation. We will repair or replace (without cost to the BUYER) any item found defective or damaged before delivery or during unloading. We cannot accept the return of goods which are damaged after delivery

CANCELLATION POLICY

Mail order, telephone and internet sales to individuals (not businesses) are covered by the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (UK Law Directive 97/7/EC), which protect you by providing a 7 working day 'cooling off' period after the product has been delivered.

A customer has the option to cancel any order between the time of placing it and 7 working days after delivery. Cancellations must be in writing by post or by email to michelle@uniquefinds.co.uk (not to ANY other email address).

You have the right to receive a refund within 28 days of cancelling an order with the COMPANY. We normally pay cancellations by cheque within 14 days of cancellation or the goods being returned safely (whichever is the latter). We will make a deduction from the refund to cover the full cost of delivery.

You are advised to retain the packaging. You will find it difficult to return the item without appropriate packaging.

The goods must not have been fitted, installed or used in any way.

The goods must be unmarked and free from blemishes of any kind, and you must return them in a saleable condition

ELECTRICAL GOODS

UK Law requires that we recommend that any electrical goods purchased from the COMPANY be properly tested and certified by a qualified electrician.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

The COMPANY reserves the right to either make delivery with it’s own transport or to organise a specialist courier to delivery goods to the BUYER. Delivery/Courier costs will be stated before the purchase of any goods is made by the BUYER and the charges will be made in British Pounds Sterling. Insurance cover will be made by the COMPANY for any breakable items and will be included in the delivery charge.

EXPORT RESTRICTIONS

The COMPANY will export any goods purchased by overseas BUYERS anywhere in Europe or the USA only. A shipping quote will be supplied upon request, the cost of which will vary depending on the weight and size of the goods purchased. The COMPANY does not currently have any weight restrictions for goods that require shipping. The COMPANY reserves the right to either make delivery with it’s own transport or to organise a specialist courier to delivery goods to the BUYER. We are happy for the BUYER to organise their own shipping of goods at their own risk. The COMPANY will not be responsible in any way for goods damaged or missing during any delivery organised by the BUYER.

CONFIDENTIALITY

Any information of a confidential nature, relating to financial or business affairs of the COMPANY (including but not limited to trade secrets and information of Commercial Information) which may become known to the BUYER unless such information is public knowledge or subsequently becoming public knowledge through no fault of the COMPANY and any information about the Terms and Conditions of any Agreement between the COMPANY and BUYER is to be kept confidential by either party and or associated third parties.

THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS ABOVE ARE SUBJECT TO THE LAW IN ENGLAND AND WALES.
